So I have been avoiding blogging or even talking about this subject due to how personal it is to me; but I want this documented for my blog book and for a reminder to myself and for my kids to look back on one day.
After a very hard semester of nursing school, I ended up a few points shy. This nursing school has a high test standard and if you dont meet the standard, even if you do well in everything else, you cant go on. Well I didnt meet this standard by a few points. This was a very hard pill to swallow. I have never worked so hard at something in my entire life, and I didnt make it. I often have thoughts of being a failure, but I know this isn't the case. I know I didnt fail, I just didnt meet my schools standards of testing. I have struggled with test anxiety my whole school aged life... this has escalated with the stress of nursing school.
I know that I will not give up. I havent yet and this will not stop me. I want to be a nurse, I want to be able to help people. I will reach this goal but I think I will reach this goal on the Lord's time. I have learned so much this past year and I wouldnt have done anything different. I have no regrets...so I guess that makes all of this a little better. I have really grown a strong relationship with my Heavenly Father. I know that he has a plan for me. Each trial in my life, through faith, I have overcome them. I have faith that I will overcome this one.
Now, this doesnt mean that I am not a nurse. After a week off, just in case, I had signed up for the LPN (licensed practical nurse) spin off course. I am SO grateful for this opportunity. I will be able to get my license and practice nursing if I please. I look at this as a stepping stone, I believe now that it will make me a more competent nurse having some experience.
Through this whole process I have had a supportive husband, he has done and sacrificed so much for me to live my dream. I will be forever grateful for him. I am grateful for kylee jo and her sweet little spirit, through this past year she has kept me smiling. She has seen how important my school is to me, she has prayed for me and loved me though it all.
I am grateful for my supportive parents and Dereks parents. My mom was such a great listener throughout this. A lot of tears were shed and I thank her for being so wonderful. My dad never wanted to see me stressed, he always said "its not the end of the world if you cant get it this time..." and he is right.
So I feel like writing this was a good thing for me, thank you to all my friends and family for loving me and supporting me!

Mother's Day
Mother's day was great! D got me a vaccum which I am sooo excited about. We recently moved to a townhouse and I was very excited to vaccum it. I spent mother's day studying for a final, and did a little dirt bike riding with D and Ky. This is one of my favorite things to do, and the weather couldnt have been better.
