Oh kylee jo...
This girl amazes me on a daily basis. She teaches me, loves me unconditionally, and is just a joy to be around. Towards the end of the week I feel like we all get irritable with D being gone so much at school and it just being the end of the week. Well she came home from school grumpy and was complaining. I talked to her and then it just continued throughout the evening. She also wasn't listening very well and I found myself repeating a lot. well this is a normal thing, kids are kids. We all get grumpy. Well it was almost time for bed and something else happened and I chatted with her that we needed to start over tomorrow. So in her prayer before bed she said, "Heavenly Father, will you help us to start over tomorrow and have a fresh day and that I can be a good listener." Ah I just love her and I hope sometimes that I don't put too much pressure on her. She's just amazing and is always striving to be good.

Family Home Evening
We have had some fun FHE lessons in the last couple of months. Two stand out to me in particular. The first one we talked about the Dallin H. Oaks talk on choices. It is titled Good, Better, Best. The kids loved it. I had envelopes with each persons name on it and we put our choices up on a poster and had to decide which choice it fit under. Before that, we talked about Mary and Martha. I had prepared during the day of what I was going to say. Well all I asked was, Have you heard of Mary and Martha? And kylee said yes, and told the story. This girl amazes me. She is so smart and intuitive. It makes me so proud when she teaches me gospel principles.
The next FHE that we had was with Brian and Jenni, and Adam and Allison. Once a month we try to get together and do it. Well it had been a crazy day and we were running a little late. On the way there I asked kylee if she wanted to be in charge of the lesson. So we happened to have the iPad and she started typing her lesson.
This is what it said:
"The blessing of the priesthood. my dad has the priesthood he got baptighs so that i can be baptighs to. He gesve me blessings he is the best dad ever. whin you are sick som times hevnly father and jesus gives you a blessing. whin you are 12 you can baptighs peapple."
She read it to me right before we got there. And I said where did you learn that when you are 12 you are able to get baptized for people? She said, from you mom, remember that time we drove around the temple and talked about it? and I immediately remembered. She is so stinking smart. She's just amazing, she can be told something once and remember it. She makes me one proud mama. The lesson was a hit.

Nash turns 2!
I can't believe my little buddy turned 2! Nash is such a joy to be around. He still is obsessed with tractors and digging. Thats all he got for his birthday and he just loved opening up his presents. Each present he would open he would say "tractor?" We had a low key bday for Nash. Derek made brisket on the smoker and we had cake. It was so funny to see him blow out his candles. I am so grateful to have a son. He brings joy to my soul everyday.
