She taught me how to be a mom. She devoted her life to us. It is through her that I knew what kind of mom I wanted to be. Love you mama.
I have been full of gratitude the last couple of weeks....to be a mom. As derek has worked such long hours trying to get the Spanish fork shop open, I have been able to reflect on my divine role as a mother. I feel so grateful Heavenly Father trusts me with these beautiful children I have. I feel so grateful that derek works so hard, all while I'm at home enjoying our kiddos. We are always having fun and doing something awesome. D makes that possible everyday. I'm pretty sure he worked 130 hours this week alone. Not exaggerating. We haven't seen him a whole lot. But we fully support each other in our lives.
The last two years or so, I have really dived into general conference talks. I listen to them everyday and gain insight into life's challenges and specifically motherhood. I'm so grateful to be Kylee and nashs mom. I'm grateful I can teach them and raise them in the gospel. If there's a few things I would want them to know, they would be...
That I have a testimony of this gospel and everything that it teaches. The basis of our religion is following after christs life. Christ loved above all else. I know that the church is true, bc I have recieved personal revelation that it is. But I also have faith. I know that things work out, if we do our part. Sometimes throughout my life I have often thought, why me? Why did I of all people have a chance to be raised in the gospel? As of late, through struggles in life and finding myself, I have found an answer to that question. I have a divine purpose to reach out to those and help others. I'm so grateful the lord has trusted me to do this. I love this life. I try not to take it for granted. It's precious.
This Mother's Day will be a celebration of family. I hope we can just be together and have a fun day.
