Tractors are his world

I took this pic the other morning. He was watching a YouTube video on back hoes. He had to have his back hoe to look at all the parts while he watched. So cute

Chicago

Derek learned a lot in Chicago. Can I just gush about my hubby for a minute. He's so amazing in so many ways. He has so much passion and ambition. He sets goals and achieves them. He is so smart, especially in a gospel sense. We love him so much. It was been so nice to have more quality family time with him being out of school.
Here is a pic of us the week we moved to Wyoming. We took a ride up the mountain. I have a feeling we will be doing a lot more of this because it's so peaceful and nice to be together!

St George

The kids and I went on a spur of the moment camping trip to st George last weekend. Derek went to Chicago for a food convention and our friends john and kell invited us camping. It was a blast. Nash was in heaven with all the sand and rocks to dig. He would stop while we were walking and ask for a tractor and point at the sand like hey mom, this is good stuff. We hiked on the rocks which was so fun. We found this cool waterfall that Kylee slid down. It was a blast.

The last little bit in Provo

Nash cried when we sold his crib. I mean balled, so we broke out the pack and play and he was fine. Getting to the new house though, he discovered he could sleep in a big boy bed with sister. The first night no problems! He went right to sleep.
Wearing kys old glasses
Saying goodbye to my friend gena
My packing buddy
Talking on his phone, a truck. I love how his world revolves around trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, garbage trucks, and basically any type of machine.
The Payton temple. Gotta love the two year old fits! Haha
He tried to put some rocks in his pockets. Which I knew he was thinking of putting them in his tractors when he got home.
Kylee is officially done with school. She got out 3 weeks early bc of the move. On  the last week, one morning she had a little attitude. Derek said my cut the attitude or you can go to school the rest of the 3 weeks and not get out early. Then he said "do you know what I do when I'm tired my?" She said " what?" He said, "I drink a coke" she said "do you know what I do when I'm tired dad? I out my head on my desk and shut my eyes." Derek and I just cracked up, she's hilarious and she's not a morning person. Which I can totally sympathize with. She's pretty quick Whitted like her dad.

Mother's Day!

First off, I have a beautiful mother named penny! She is an amazing woman with awesome qualities. She listens, she loves, and she's one of my best friends.
I also have an awesome mother in law named Cheri! She raised an amazing man that I am lucky enough to call my husband. I am grateful for the relationship I have with her.

My Mother's Day was wonderful. It was our first Sunday in our new ward here in rock springs. It feels good to be back. We have mostly everything unpacked and are currently working on goals we want to achieve while we are here. Derek and ky did the dishes tonight. I was very grateful. I love the little things that Derek does to show his love for me. He also said some very kind words about me as a mother to our babies. I feel blessed to have a husband who understands and notices how important the role of a mother is. Kylee made my day extra special by showering me full of nice notes and cards. She is one thoughtful little girl. She is always thinking about someone else. When she gets a pickle or popcicle out of the fridge, she always brings one for Nash. It's those little things that make her so special. We are really excited to be starting this new chapter. Looking back at our time in Provo, it's bittersweet. The weather was awesome, and the memories we made were great. I feel like a blessed woman.

Nash and dad

We are almost all moved out. We decided to go eat at the Cheesecake Factory one last time before we left. Before we left d and Nash both got haircuts. He loves getting his haircut and sits so still.
Then lunch with dad! Nash looks up to d so much. I love that smile!

Nashers

Oh I love this boy, he is such a joy to be around. He's so much fun. He is so interested in learning his colors right now. He loves to say yellow. He goes to nursery and plays and shares with the other kids. He still has a deep love for tractors, also candy. He knows where the sweet drawer is and frequents it multiple times a day. Last night he slept through the night. Which I can say is the second time he has done that. Maybe we are on to something! He looks forward to picking up his sister from school. It's one of the cutest things I've seen. He waits for her and then when he sees her gets a huge smile and runs to give her a hug. He does that everyday, unless she walks over to us where he's digging in the flower bed with his tractors, haha I'm sure the school loves that. I'm seriously enjoying life. I feel so grateful to be a stay at home mom. I was telling d the other night that I will look back on is time in our lives and want to go back. They are so wonderful!

For kylee, in the future...

"My dear young women, with all my heart I urge you not to look to
contemporary culture for your role models and mentors.
Please look to your faithful mothers for a pattern to follow.
Model yourselves after them, not after celebrities whose standards
are not the Lord’s standards and whose values may
not reflect an eternal perspective.
Look to your mother. Learn from her strengths, her courage, and her faithfulness.
Listen to her. She may not be a whiz at texting;
she may not even have a Facebook page.
But when it comes to matters of the heart and the things of the Lord,
she has a wealth of knowledge. As you approach the time for marriage and
young motherhood, she will be your greatest source of wisdom.
No other person on earth loves you in the same way or is willing to
sacrifice as much to encourage you and help you
find happiness—in this life and forever."

I know that there will be a day in my near future where I will want to pull up this quote and read it with kylee jo. I know that she looks to me now for wisdom, guidance, love and everything inbetween. But as she gets older she will face more worldly challenges. I try every single day to be the best mother I can. I do this for myself, but mostly with my children in mind. I want them to find joy and happiness in this life. This can only be achieved through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I KNOW that to be true. She is one special little girl with a heart bigger than I can even explain. She has so much potential and I know that even at this young age of 6, almost 7 that she will make a huge impact on other peoples lives, including my own. She's amazing.

the zoo

We went to the zoo this fall and stood in line for 2 hours to meet Elsa and Anna. It was so worth the wait, she loved it!

One smart girl

I wish I could just bottle up everything kylee jo asks, and says. I always heard while growing up that the more questions you ask, the smarter you will be. This girl asks really intelligent questions sometimes and I wish I could remember them all. Tonight we were sitting on the couch and she asked  me what the sharpest thing in the world was? I said I don't know maybe a knife? And she said can you google it and show me a picture. Ha, so I did and sure enough we got a very scientific answer. And she was then satisfied. We were driving home tonight from the store and she was telling me all about outer space and the moon. She's a little smarty pants. Just the way she was explaining it to me amazed me. Because I am sure she heard it one time, and she explained it so well.

Siblings

I wish I could just bottle these feelings up that I have of my kids and save all the precious moments. I feel so fortunate to be able to be home with them. Nash was sick today, and pretty grumpy. Kylee got home from school and was trying to make him laugh and feel better. She is so kind and loving to all of us. She is forgiving. She is smart, she is beautiful. She is a math wiz at school as well. Nash is at such a fun age. He is very strong willed at times but so stinking cute he's impossible to be grumpy at. He is trying to learn his colors right now. He absolutely adores kylee in every way, I love my kiddos!!
