Kindergarten....oh my!

I can't believe our Kylee jo is all grown up. Her first day was awesome. She said she went over and talked to a girl that had a "necklace" to help her breath (Trach). Ky said she asked her if she wanted to be her friend and the girl said "yes".  We are so very proud that she was already being such a great friend. We sure love this girl!!!

Ky's new friend Kylie. They met at church and found out they are in the same class. They love that they  have the same name.
Looking at their classroom.

Andrew and Ashley's Wedding

Making a path for the bride

The girls loved holding her dress

The wedding was perfect, very beautiful. We are so happy for these two!

Island Park

We headed up to Island park for Andrew and Ashley's wedding. It was a weekend full of games, family, and fun. I think everyone enjoyed themselves.
We jumped into a freezing cold lake at midnight!

Andrew and Ashley

Grandpa and Nash

The best of friends

Such a handsome boy

Kylee and Kohl had a mean game of tug-a-war

There were some fun games and the Johnson boys got a little competitive.

This hottie without glasses on. He got lasik right before the trip.

Besties

When we went to Idaho for Andrew and Ashley's wedding, we made a stop at the hair college. Kylee got her nails/toes done and a new haircut. She absolutely loves her Aunt Paige!

Scariest moment of our lives...

My heart is full and my mind is racing through thoughts right now. I am blogging this because this is basically my journal.
Tonight Derek and I learned some life changing lessons. I will start by just saying...hug and love on your kids tonight because they are truly God's precious gifts to us. We need to cherish and love them to our fullest capacity.
I had just put kylee jo to bed and Derek was holding Nash. I had gotten off the phone with my mom trying to help her with a computer thing. Derek came and set Nash right beside me on the counter while I finished up. I closed the computer and went to pick him up and in that second he fell back and hit his head on our counter. I quickly picked him up and brought him in the living room holding him tight, waiting for him to take that huge breath. Well he finally took a breath and then passed out. His eyes were open and rolled back in his head. I quickly shook him a sec and then told D to call 9ll. As I stood their so many thoughts crossed my mind. I quickly assessed him and thought back to what I had learned in nursing school/CPR class. Again, as my baby lay their lifeless, so many thoughts were going through my head. I couldn't believe this was happening. I did a little sternal rub and in my mind was pleading for him to start breathing. Derek was searching for his phone and I quickly handed him mine. He couldn't get mine to unlock so while all this was going on he ran to the neighbors and barged in their door. Kylee was sitting at my side saying "mom whats happening?" she was so scared. I then went outside and by that time Nash looked up at me disoriented. I told kylee to go inside and say a prayer for Nash. She did....when she came back outside he started crying. I fully believe it was that sweet child's prayer. I know that the Lord hears and answers our prayers. I know that he is constantly watching over us. And I know that he loves us, each one of us individually.
The paramedics checked him out and we talked a bit. They said that it was probably him hitting his head so hard and his body basically restarted itself. Like pressing a restart button. I was so grateful for how fast they got there. I was so grateful for such great neighbors who were there for us. Derek and I feel so grateful for these two precious gifts in our lives. Words cannot describe the emotions we feel at this moment. Looking back, I know that we did the right thing. You never know how your going to react in situations like that. But I can say my sweet little boy is asleep right next to me tonight. And sweet kylee jo isn't too far. She stayed up with us and prayed with us as we expressed our gratitude for how this evening played out. I think sometimes those scary situations put life in perspective for you. Life isn't about things, or being busy. Life is simple, and our sweet joys are right in front of us.

Wyomings Big Show

We went to the fair before we left Wyoming and saw "Florida Georgia Line". They put on a great concert and we had a ton of fun! Kylee jo danced the night away, she loves concerts.

Juicing

My friend Chelsey is on a juicing kick. Well I decided to jump on board and she came over and we juiced. We shall see if we stick to it, so far so good.
Kylee jo loved it and also loves the smoothies we make with our "juiced ice cubes"
