You're still pretty when your grumpy mom

Tonight was not one of my best nights shining through to be a good mom. I was really tired, it was just one of those days. Sometimes when Derek is gone and 5 o'clock rolls around I am spent, knowing i have the rest of the evening to conquer by myself. Kylee had asked me to stay for tumbling because she was practicing her routine. Well thats an hour long task that consists of me chasing around Nash. He isn't aloud to be on the mats but he thinks he's big and wants to. So he got plowed into by someone doing a cartwheel. He picked up an old churro on the ground and wanted to eat it, and got mad because I wouldn't let him. Then we get home and kylee had a ton of homework (go figure she's only in 1st grade, come on!). Tried to start dinner and Nash was out in the sandbox. Well to my attention I noticed the floor was all scratched do to the constant sand on the floor. I tried to wipe it and realized it really was scratched. So I started feeling bad, and thought there goes our deposit. Then Nash started unloading a roll of toilet paper into the toilet. After that he took off his diaper and yelled from the stairs he wanted to take a bath. Then he went to bed. I apologized to ky for being impatient and we said a prayer and started on her homework. After her loads of homework, I said sorry for being grumpy and she said "Mom, you're still pretty when your grumpy". I smiled, I love that girl. Heres to a good night rest and a fresh day tomorrow. I love my kiddos.

Lead us, guide us, walk beside us

I know that The Lord has his hand in all things. We have had so many experiences and changes along the way to lead us in different paths quite a few times this year. But really throughout our lives. Each time I am amazed and recognize the lords hand in our life. He cares about us, he loves us. I wish I was better about documenting all the little miracles The Lord has shown us. As of late we have been praying for guidance with which direction for the business and where to go when d graduates this spring. Kylee especially has been wondering. She asks quite a bit if we have gotten our answer. She wants a house of our own, specifically with a front yard and back yard. One with trees and a playground in the back. But most importantly she wants a house that we can have a ladder high enough to put Christmas lights all over the roof.  She makes me smile. I know that The Lord will guide us and help us along the way. And patience is key, patience, it's on his time.

Vegas 2015!

After graduation d and I headed to Vegas! I think this was the best trip so far! We had so much fun. Driving fast cars has been on Derek's bucket list. Well, check that one off! We did it and it was so fun! He drove some fast cars and we both rode with a professional drifter. In my opinion that is better than any roller coaster I have been on. It was awesome! We also went to a few shows and ate good food. We missed the kids but it was a really fun time to be able to spend together after a long time of not seeing each other!

MBA graduate!

Wow! These two years have come and gone. We had such a wonderful time in Provo and can't believe it's coming to an end. It was hard at times but we made some awesome friend and memories. Graduation weekend was spent with friends and family. We took time to celebrate. We had a little party at our clubhouse where we live and it was a lot of fun. The next day d and I flew to Vegas for a few days. We had a blast as well. I am so grateful for d and his hard work and dedication. What an accomplishment. Kylee was making him cute signs during graduation and was so proud to see him walk across the stage.  What an amazing man we have!

2 year check up

This little boy has grown! He went from being in the 3 percentile to the 13th! That's a big deal. Kylee and I took him to his appointment, they are doing construction by the health center and he sat out there before and after watching the tractors work. He got 1 shot and didn't even cry!
Nash is such a joy to be around. He lives for any type of machine. On a regular basis, we follow the yard people around as they mow the grass. We also do this with the garbage truck. He also loves trucks with trailers. Anytime he hears a "beep beep beep" he says "tractor!!!" And looks around for it. Even if he hears it in a store or something. When we go to Costco, normally he sees a fork lift parked and we stare at it. Haha what a boy. He absolutely loves it. He try's to say and do anything she does. So grateful for my kids.

Simple

I love the little moments. Yesterday I bought a bike and a little seat for nash to ride with me. Now kylee and us can go on bike rides. I'm super excited about that. We sat this morning and put it together after ky went to school. He had a wrench and screws and looved it. I loved watching him try to figure it all out. Ah! These sweet moments I am so blessed to have with my kids.

a few thoughts on the kiddos

Wow, time flies and I wish I could keep track of everything that goes on in my life. My kids are such a joy, these past two years have flown by and I can't believe we are moving in 4 weeks and onto the next adventure. Kylee and I sat in bed tonight while I tucked her in. I cherish little moments where she talks about her day. Tonight we were talking about a girl in the neighborhood that wasn't a good influence. We talked about how kylee is a good example and and I told her how proud I was that she is so kind to everyone. Then she told me about this "little girl, thats a second grader". She says she sees her in the computer lab sometimes and at recess. She is a little girl she said, like "this little" and points towards her belly. "And she is in second grade mom, and people laugh at her and say she is so little". I immediately saw the sensitive facial expression on her. She has such a kind and loving heart. Then we talked about the wonderful qualities she has and again how impressed I am by her. I have been raising my voice more than usual lately because she has had a hard time listening. I have found myself apologizing for raising my voice. She said well mom, I haven't been doing a good job listening. She's always striving to be better. I hope that I never put too much pressure on her. She's just amazing and I have so much to learn from that little girl. She is always looking out for Nash. When she gets up to get a snack she always brings two. Ah! I just love her.
This evening I sat outside and watched them play. I am so looking forward to summer and being outside. We just love being outside. I watched nash push around his giant dump truck. He was running as fast as his little legs would go. I just wanted to bottle that moment up. There will be a day when I look back and think geez, where did that time go? But for now I am going to savor as much as I can. I am so grateful for my life, my trials, my faith, and that I am able to experience pure joy often.
